Thank you for your interest in the Asia Investment Banking Conference (AIBC) 2009. This inaugural event is jointly organised by students of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the Singapore Management University (SMU).
The AIBC was initiated by a group of students in 2009, with a specific focus on the corporate finance industry in the context of Asia. In the midst of the turbulent economic climate, Asia remains an emerging market with tremendous potential to develop further. The Conference will examine the outlook for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital raising activities in China, India and South-East Asia, bringing together leading professionals from the region and students from universities across the world.
The speakers that have kindly agreed to lend their support to this initiative represent some of the largest and most reputable institutions globally. Being experts in their respective fields, we are confident that their insights will help participants develop a deeper understanding of and greater appreciation for the financial services industry. Having taken time off their busy work schedules to participate, we would like to thank all the speakers for their valuable contribution towards the overall success of this event.
Additionally, we would also like to show our appreciation to the organisations that have kindly joined as sponsors to help further the Conference objectives. The financial support that they have provided has allowed us to offer subsidised rates to all participants and reach out to a wider group of students. Furthermore, we would also like to thank our media partners for assisting in raising general awareness and publicity for the Conference.
Lastly, we would like to recognise the hard work and effort of every individual in the organising committee that has collectively made this Conference a resounding success.
We look forward to your continued support in the years to come.
Best regards,
AIBC Organising Committee
