Kenneth Tung joined Lazard in June 2009, and currently acts as head of financial institutions group for Lazard Asia and covers key financial institutions clients across the region.
Prior to joining Lazard, Kenneth was a managing director at Citigroup in charge of financial institutions investment banking for Greater China until May 2009. Kenneth has been an investment banking specialist in the financial institutions sector for 15 years and has experience in Asia and other regions. Kenneth was also a member of the financial institutions teams for Deutsche Bank in Asia, Prudential Securities and Kidder Peabody in the US.
Kenneth was involved in numerous financial institutions equity, fixed income and M&A transactions. His recent key deals include: China Life US$3.3 billion IPO/Dual listing, Citi's acquisition of Bank of Overseas Chinese in Taiwan, ING's sale of ING Life Taiwan to Fubon Financial, China Resources Real Estate Fund US$350 million fundraising, Longreach's acquisition of Entie Commercial Bank and SAC's acquisition of Cosmos Bank
